Applications
The primary application is the calibration of reflection measuring equipment, such as return loss bridges or network analyzers. The termination can also be used for terminating transmission lines for measurement purposes. One use is when measuring the power coming in from a co-located antenna. The termination is placed on the other side of an inline wattmeter.

Description
This instrument is constructed in a precision-machined stainless steel housing. The RFT050NM2 uses a massive rod resistor coated with Nickel/ Chromium ink. The mechanical assembly is constructed so as to be shock resistant and mechanically stable. The resistors are pre-aged to prevent long term drift over the service life of the unit. To insure the best possible wear resistance the center pin is gold plated beryllium copper.
